Tonight is my last day working at night market, and also my last working day in Cairns.
Time goes by so fast, I'm going to leave this city in 5 days. It's hard to imagine me and my friend have stayed in Cairns for 5 months. After several farewell gatherings and seeing off bunch of friends, seems we're at the bottom of "Cairns leaving list". I couldn't wait to save money and start new life in another city, however, when the leaving moment is approching, I still feel sad.
Most of people say there's nothing to do in Cairns, but I really enjoyed my life here : my first job, my first Australian good friend, my first lovely flatmate, my first great tipsy, my first laying under the stars, my first swimming in the waterfall ... as the first stop in Australia, Cairns is definatly my wonderful beginnig.
I think I can never get used to the farewell moment, no matter leaving friends or leaving city. I can see how much I will miss everything in Cairns after off on another adventure. 1 year is short, even life is short, every instant and everyone met during this trip is supposed to be cherished and remembered. Then I do believe fate, my dear friends, we're destined to meet again in the future.
