Just had my 26 year old birthday in Australia.
Every year passed faster and faster as it couldn't wait to reach the next year, it was so scary for me.
At first, I didn't think I wanted any cake or celebration for my birthday, and thought it could be also nice to have dinner, which was for manager's farewell, with my new co-workers of Subway. I was quite enjoying the gathering with these aussies, until at another table, people started celebrating a girl's birthday. At that moment, I felt a hint of sadness and lonliness.
After going back home, some Taiwanese friends secretly prepared for me a cheese cake, on which I blowed a lighter (yes not candles) and had wishes. I was very surprised and touched for it, and felt good to have my own birthday cake and sing that song.
I'm not sure if I've got soulmate in my life, but the most important people in my life they didn't forget my birthday this year. So I could be as proud as that Carrie told Big : I had a fabulous day.
